Wonders of the Supermarket
Wonders of the Supermarket is a screen print study resulting from the collision between the generic and the absurd.
Seemingly mundane packaged goods are branded in Birrean, an invented language of my creation with its own distinct script. These chromatic coupon-sized items are scattered and then reassembled into the form of iconic architectural monuments (Pyramid of Giza, Stoa of Attalos, Mussolini’s EUR).
The resulting wall mounted pop up panels convey icons as assemblies of ordinary, yet obscure pieces.

The graphics eventually were translated onto a limited set of promotional t-shirts.
