Emissive Table

Limbs of this table are made of sinuous ceramic extrusions, each with a unique painterly glazed surface. Together they frame and support a doubly glazed light panel, giving this soft and sweet assemblage a sharp and glowing definition in the dark. Small avian gargoyle figures stand watch over the blurred bluish checkerboard pattern encased within the tabletop. The table is an experiment in pushing ceramic construction into the scale of furniture. The hollow nature of the ceramic pieces allows the legs to conceal the wiring and light strips.
